Learning and Development professional
Health Education East Midlands (HEEM)
Their need
Our client had experience of working in a learning and development focused role and identified a need to achieve an appropriate qualification to underpin her experience.
Our solution
We held a diagnostic discussion with our client and identified that the best qualification to fit her needs was the CIPD Foundation Diploma in Learning and Development Practice, using a taught study route. This enabled her to network with other L&D professionals and to benefit from being part of a community of practice. We identified that this approach suited our client’s learning style.
Their outcome
The client found the programme to be an enjoyable, fun, educational and great developmental experience. She felt she became a more competent and confident practitioner and is now able to discuss the fundamentals of L&D with colleagues and those she supports in the workplace.
Their achievements
Our client has been appointed to a new role as Lifelong Learning Programme Manager and has also gained increased responsibility for the recruitment and management of a small team. The programme of study she has completed has helped her to develop the necessary attributes to support and develop a team.
Their legacy
Developments in confidence mean that she now has future aspirations to continue to grow her capability within L&D, with a particular focus on developing new skills and knowledge in the area of organisational development.
