National Apprenticeship Week: Apprentice Wednesday

National Apprenticeship Week: Apprentice Wednesday

The 18th National Apprenticeship Week takes place this year from 10th – 16th February!

National Apprenticeship Week is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, which aims to shine a light on the amazing work being undertaken by apprentices, employers and training providers across England.

Today, we are sharing some feedback from Dylan, who recently completed the Level 5 HR Consultant Partner Apprenticeship!

What were your key aims for your apprenticeship programme?

I really wanted to kickstart my HR career with this apprenticeship programme. I started the course as an admin assistant, having just been made permanent from a maternity cover contract. Looking back, I can see a clear pathway of my development and how my knowledge and experience has come on tremendously. I am now a Resourcing Officer, and get to use the knowledge gained from my apprenticeship to specialise in my role.

To what extent do you feel you have achieved your aims?

I feel very knowledgeable in various aspects of HR expertise and feel confident that my skills are transferable across different industries. Throughout my apprenticeship I have been able to practice my learning across both the private and public sectors and develop myself even further within the workplace.

What aspects of your apprenticeship were most beneficial to your development, and why?

The fact that the apprenticeship was transferable across workplaces was highly beneficial to me, and that allowed me to continue my progression whilst on the apprenticeship. cHRysos were so supportive with me changing roles; they managed swapping my apprenticeship over to the new workplace and handled the whole process for me. This meant that I never felt stuck in my position due to the apprenticeship, which people may have concerns over when considering doing an apprenticeship.

What plans do you have for your future progression?

I would love to do another apprenticeship. I aspire to work towards HR Advisor at work or a line management role within HR, such as Admin Team Manager.

Any other comments?

Thank you so much to cHRysos for providing a wonderful experience, with such kind and caring tutors. Everyone at cHRysos is there to bring the best version out of you, and help you deliver this within your work.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Dylan for the feedback, and for getting involved in National Apprenticeship Week with us!
