In 2013, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Management (APPGM) set out to investigate how management and leadership in the UK would need to change by 2020 in order to deliver sustainable economic growth. The Commission on the Future of Management and Leadership was created with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to carry out that inquiry. The Commission brought members from both Houses of Parliament, across the main parties, together with leaders from a wide range of industry sectors. The Commission reviewed evidence from academic experts, entrepreneurs, world-renowned business leaders and up-and-coming young managers alike.
