Over the summer
Revised Employment Tribunal rules will be introduced to bring improvements to case management with simplified and streamlined procedures for preliminary hearings and the withdrawal of cases. Tribunals and judges will have a clear remit to encourage alternative dispute resolution methods.
School leaving age will rise to 17 years
Settlement agreements: Proposals will attempt to make it easier for employers and employees to have open discussions when the employment relationship is not working out, without having concerns that this could be used against them in a claim for unfair dismissal.
