National Apprenticeship Week 2023 | Apprentice Wednesday!
National Apprenticeship Week is an opportunity to celebrate with everybody in the apprenticeship community, and to promote the benefits of an apprenticeship and the opportunities they bring to employers and individuals. This week, we have been hearing from our talented apprentices to find out more about how our apprenticeship programmes have helped them, and how they have been able to implement their knowledge and skills at work.
Thomas Hill, Learning & Development Manager at Sodexo
Thomas is currently studying the Level 5 Learning and
Development Business Partner Apprenticeship.
"I started my Level 5 Learning and Development Business Partner apprenticeship back in May 2022, since then, I have been able to learn so much about how L&D and HR can positively and hugely impact an organisation.
I have just had my second assignment signed off which focused on Evidence-Based Practice. This was a completely new topic to me and from studying this, I was able to write up a business proposal to my site director for a L&D apprentice. This allowed me to use my new skills learned and focused on analysis of data and financial calculations using an insight focused approach.
Each new assignment I am studying I can adapt and use those new skills in my workplace, I am looking forward to learning much more about the people profession and I am really looking forward to gaining my CIPD qualification."
